Today, glaciers cover about 10 per cent of the Earth's surface and are home to a unique biodiversity, which, as they melt, risks extinction.
Their disappearance will affect the availability of fresh water, compromise mountain habitats and have direct repercussions on sectors such as tourism,agriculture, pastoralism and hydropower production.

The programme of events is organised by the MUSE in collaboration with the Autonomous Province of Trento (Civil Protection, Sustainable Development and Protected Areas Service, Environmental Protection Agency), Trentino Library System, SAT, Trento Film Festival, MART and the Municipality of Trento.
