Young people are a fundamental resource for the social and economic growth of the region, but today they are increasingly confronted with major changes - also exacerbated by the consequences of the global health crisis and the geopolitical situation - that are transforming the labour market.

Project Objectives

The project "The world of youth between transitions, challenges and opportunities", capitalising on the results of the Euregio study "Life realities of young people in the regions of Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino 2021", intends to look at the various "transitions" that characterise the transition between education, training and the world of work, between the ages of 14 and 29: all this from an operational perspective in order to map out, but also to test new ways of intervening and providing guidance.

These attentions to the most significant passages characterising the construction of one's professional self can not only contribute to an improvement in the quality of life, but also to dimensions linked to access to the world of work, such as employability.

The project, over a two-year period, through a working group consisting of representatives of the Euregio administrations and experts in the field, aims to

  • look at the dynamics of young people's transitions from school age to adulthood and analyse the territorial contexts
  • systematise, in a synergic manner and with an integrated logic, the results that have emerged
  • identify avenues for action, proposing policies and opportunities also with a view to integration between different actors and stakeholders of the 3 territories

After an initial exploratory phase, the project activities got into full swing with the presentation meeting in the territory during the "Euregio Tuesdays", on 31 January at the Euregio Coordination and Information Office in Trento.
