Description
The intervention envisages the reorganisation of access to the Spini industrial area from the SS12 (eastern side).
The current road system, consisting of a traffic light intersection and a level crossing on the Trento-Malè railway line, besides being dangerous, is not suitable to support the amount of traffic the area is subject to, often causing queues that spill over onto the SS12.
The design solution identified envisages the construction of a new access road to the industrial area, which will start from the roundabout between Via Alto Adige and Via Bolzano, continue with a road subway under the railway and will connect to a new roundabout built at the intersection of Via di Spini, Via Kufstein and Via dell'Ora del Garda.
At the same time, two pedestrian/cycle subways will be built in Via Palazzine and Via di Spini, in place of the level crossings that now exist, which will be eliminated.
The construction of the new road system will allow the elimination of a critical point of daily traffic in Trento, increasing the safety of the FTM and the usability of the Spini industrial area.
