Research projects financed through Calls for Proposals

Provincial Law No. 14 of 2 August 2005 established the single research fund (Art. 17), intended for the financing of scientific and technological research programmes, projects and agreements and divided into separate sections for the University of Trento, the Bruno Kessler and Edmund Mach foundations, businesses, the functional entities of the Province and other entities or subjects that carry out research activities in the province.

Description

As instruments of intervention (Art. 16), Law 14 of 2 August 2005 identifies four opportunities:

The programme agreements with the Bruno Kessler and Edmund Mach foundations, with the University of Trento and with research organisations;
The facilities for innovation under Article 5 of Provincial Law No. 6 of 1999;
The agreements with local, national and international governments;
The calls for proposals (Art. 22)

As in the case of the Major Projects, the sheets below list other projects financed through calls for tenders with the aim of disseminating a territorial development strategy based on knowledge and recognising the promotion, growth and dissemination of research and innovation as a fundamental tool for the growth of human capital, the development of the enterprise system and the quality and competitiveness of the entire provincial territory.
