Description
The aim is to foster in schools the scientific culture and forma mentis necessary for a different approach to the development of computational thinking, even before specific disciplines are taught.
The following are planned
- didactic, training and orientation courses for students aimed at promoting the integration, within the curricula of all school cycles, of activities, methodologies and contents aimed at developing STEM, digital and innovation skills, as well as language skills, guaranteeing equal opportunities and gender equality.
The most important measure will be a compulsory coding course for all students throughout their school cycle.
- one-year language and CLIL (Content Language Integrated Learning) methodology training courses aimed at in-service teachers and aimed at enhancing their language skills and improving their teaching methodology skills.
All 73 schools in Trentino are involved (of which 51 Istituti comprensivi and 22 Istituti superiori).
In January 2024, the Ministry of Education and Merit issued and sent to the schools the 'operational instructions' to start the training of Italian school teachers on 'digitally integrated didactics' (DM 65) and on language skills, as well as the 'training orientation' on STEM disciplines (DM 65) for students.
All training and orientation actions are to be completed between May and September 2025.
