Description
The Autonomous Province of Trento has launched a geomorphological mapping project of its territory, with the aim of describing both the landforms and the natural and human-induced processes that have shaped and altered them over time. The aim is therefore to understand the geological processes that have shaped the current landscape, whilst also taking their current activity into account. Indeed, some processes are no longer active, whilst others continue to operate to this day.
Maps are currently available for the territory of the Adamello Brenta Geopark, a phase of the project promoted and funded by the Geopark and carried out by the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Pavia.
In this area, the survey was carried out at a scale of 1:10,000; therefore, the map is best viewed at a scale ranging from 1:10,000 to 1:25,000. The database and file metadata are available on the Zenodo repository , whilst the study is described in the open-access scientific article by Seppi et al. (2026)
