Description
The geology is only slightly thinned from the survey originals, computerised at a scale of 1:10,000. Points or areas where the substrate or superficial deposits were visible in outcrop at the date of the survey are indicated.
Quaternary superficial deposits are divided into the traditional lithogenetic classes.
The topographic base used is derived from the provincial technical map at a scale of 1:10,000, with a thinning of the isohypses (every 20 metres) of the symbology and toponymy.
The series is divided into plates, i.e. quarter sheets at a scale of 1:50,000, according to the cut of the Unified European System (E.D. 1950).
The plates, printed in eight colours, are accompanied by illustrative notes.
