Every year, the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) Euregio Tyrol – South Tyrol - Trentino (EGTC) organises, in collaboration with the sports departments of the State of Tyrol, the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and the Autonomous Province of Trento, a cross-border residential summer camp called the Euregio Sport Camp.
It offers sixty young sports enthusiasts aged between 12 and 14 – drawn in equal numbers from Tyrol/Tirol, South Tyrol/Südtirol and Trentino, to combine sporting and recreational activities with the experience of spending time together, building team spirit and making new friends, transcending all kinds of boundaries.
All this takes place under the supervision of chaperones and coaches who, by communicating bilingually in Italian and German, enable participants to enjoy a unique experience within a family-like environment that facilitates excursions and cultural activities.
Admission is determined for each region on a first-come, first-served basis according to the date and time of receipt of applications, which may only be submitted online via the Euregio website on the date and at the time set and publicised annually. Priority is, in any case, given to those registering for the Camp for the first time.
The 2021 and 2022 editions took place in July at the State Police Alpine Training Centre in Moena, in Val di Fassa, the operational headquarters of the National Alpine Sports Centre of the Fiamme Oro Sports Group. In 2023 and 2025, the camp took place in Malles Venosta (BZ), at the ‘Claudia de Medici’ Upper Secondary School, and in 2024 at the Ski Mittelschule in Neustift in Stubaital, Tyrol.
In 2026, the camp took placefrom 11 to 18 July at the Ski Mittelschule in Neustift in Stubaital, Tyrol. Registrations for Trentino were accepted online on Wednesday 4 March 2026 from 1.00 pm.
