Description
Every year the European Grouping for Territorial Cooperation Euregio Tyrol - South Tyrol - Trentino (EGTC) organises, in cooperation with the sports offices of the Land Tyrol, the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and the Autonomous Province of Trento, a cross-border summer camp in residential form called Euregio Sport Camp.
It is an opportunity for sixty young sportsmen and sportswomen between the ages of 12 and 14, coming in equal shares from Tyrol/Tirol, South Tyrol/Südtirol and Trentino, to combine the practice of sports and recreational activities with the experience of being together, forming a group and making new friends, crossing all kinds of borders.
All this in the presence of escorts and trainers/coaches who interact in a bilingual, Italian/German format, enabling participants to enjoy a unique experience, in a family-like relational context that facilitates excursion and cultural opportunities.
Admission is defined for each territory in chronological order of arrival of applications, which can only be submitted online by accessing the Euregio website on the date and time that are fixed and publicised annually. Priority is in any case given to those registering for the Camp for the first time.
The 2021 and 2022 editions were held in July at the Alpine Training Centre of the State Police in Moena, in Val di Fassa, the operational headquarters of the National Alpine Sports Sector Centre of the Fiamme Oro Sports Group. In 2023, the camp was held in Malles Venosta (BZ), at the 'Claudia de Medici' Higher Secondary Education Institute, and in 2024 at the Ski Mittelschule in Neustift in Stubaital, Tyrol.
In 2025, the camp will take place from 12 to 19 July at the 'Claudia de Medici' Institute of Higher Secondary Education in Malles Venosta (BZ). Registrations were collected online on Monday 24 February 2025.
