Description
"Care-er" is a Euregio cooperation project resulting from a long-established and long-standing cooperation between the associations of residences for the elderly of the three territories Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino.
Contacts and interested persons
The communication campaign is aimed at the entire population and in particular at young people, people looking for a different occupation as well as those re-entering the world of work or already working in the sector. It is therefore intended to promote and stimulate the choice to take up a profession in residential homes for the elderly and to encourage people who already do this activity to want to keep it and be proud of it.
Through the following contacts, interested persons will be able to find out about training opportunities and possible career paths in the long-term care sector offered by their respective territories.

What is "Euregio Care-er"?
"Euregio Care-er" is a cross-border communication and awareness-raising campaign.
The slogan "Care-er" has a double meaning:
- "Care" is an English term referring to care, in this case for the dependent elderly,
- "Career", on the other hand, means "career" and is intended to symbolise a career and career path for young people in training or for people intending to change or return to employment.
The campaign therefore firstly highlights the enrichment for oneself and others that a career in this field can offer, and secondly communicates values such as stability and flexibility of place and working hours, professionalism, training, work-life balance, as well as recognition and a sense of belonging to a work team and a community.
The campaign started in February 2023 and is totally bilingual and includes bilingual material addressed to the three Euregio territories.
The central element is a promotional video lasting approximately one and a half minutes, which is available on YouTube and on the institutional websites of the project partners.
From the short film, individual advertising spots were made, which will be broadcast on various media channels (cinema, radio, social media, monitors on public transport, job search portals and other online portals) as well as information graphics and materials for a static campaign.
The dissemination of the social media campaign takes place via the Euregio channels on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
Project objectives
The aim of the cross-border communication project is to promote the image and attractiveness of the professions in residential homes for the elderly, in order to meet the need for personnel in the territories of Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino.
The idea was born within the framework of the working group between the associations of residences for the elderly, precisely in the first period of the pandemic, when the shortage of care and assistance personnel in the RSAs reached even more worrying levels.
Precisely because they shared the same needs at Euregio level, it was decided to act together and create a campaign suitable for widespread dissemination over a large area. This collaboration also strengthened the links and cooperation between the organisations and bodies involved from all three Euregio territories.
Project Partners
Euregio's main partners in implementing the project are: UPIPA for Trentino, Association of Residences for the Elderly in South Tyrol (ARpA) and ARGE Tiroler Altenheime for Tyrol.
In South Tyrol the dissemination of the campaign is supported by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio, the Department of Social Policies and the Residences for the Elderly of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano.
