The traditional course on sustainable development and international cooperation, at university level but open to all, will start in September.
The course, promoted by theUniversity of Trento, UNESCO Chair in Engineering for Human and Sustainable Development, is part of the Master's Degree Programme in Environmental and Territorial Engineering, Curriculum"Environmental Sustainability and International Cooperation".
It offers a truly unique opportunity for initial training and professional updating on all topics of Sustainable Development and International Cooperation and is therefore useful for students and professionals of any discipline interested in acquiring skills in the field or updating them.
CONTENTS: The course is divided into lectures on two thematic areas, which are closely related and cannot be attended separately: Sustainable Development and International Cooperation; Participatory Project and Conflict Management. A number of Optional Workshops and Seminars are also planned.
LANGUAGE: the course is conducted entirely in English.
LOCATION-DATES-HURS: Classes will be held in Room 1R of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering (DICAM, Loc. Mesiano) of the University of Trento, from 15 September to 22 December 2025 at the following times: Monday (usual day) 14.30 - 19.30 and Tuesday 14.30 - 19.30 (additional day), for a total of 80 classroom hours.
RECIPIENTS: university students of all degree courses, scientific and humanistic; sustainability officers in profit or non-profit organisations, freelance operators, freelancers, public administration officials, entrepreneurs, international cooperation operators, teachers and lecturers interested in sustainable development and related issues, operating in both national/local and international contexts. Participants who request this from the lecturer may adapt the course to their personal needs with additional information and/or bibliographical references. Dialogue with lecturers and between students is also very open and indeed is encouraged and supported, to foster interdisciplinary learning.
REQUIREMENTS: participation in the course is subject to registration with DICAM (pre-registration via email to the lecturer in charge, see below) and, for students not enrolled in UniTrento courses only, payment of the standard registration fee for similar courses.
TRAINING CREDITS: students who include the exam in their study plan and regularly pass it are awarded 6 (six) training credits.
CERTIFICATES: enrolled non UniTrento students will receive an Open Digital Badge (ODB) upon passing the examination.

VENUE-DATES-TIMES: lectures will be held in classroom 1R at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering (DICAM) of the University of Trento, starting from 15th September until 22nd December 2025 Monday 2:30 pm - 7:30 pm (usual class day) and Tuesday 2:30 pm - 7:30 pm (accessory day), for a total of 80 classroom hours.
RECIPIENTS: university students of all MSc degrees, both scientific and humanities degree courses; HSE or sustainability managers in profit or non-profit organisations, freelancers, professionals, public administration officials, entrepreneurs, international cooperation practitioners, teachers and lecturers interested in sustainable development and related issues, operating in contexts both national / local and international. Enrolled students who request it to the lecturer in charge can adapt the course to their personal needs with additional information and / or bibliographic references. Dialogue with teachers and among students is very open, as well, and is encouraged and supported, to foster interdisciplinary learning.
REQUIREMENTS: attendance of the course is subject, starting to formal registration at DICAM and, for students not enrolled in UniTrento degree courses, also to the payment of a tuition fee.
UNIVERSITY CREDITS: 6 (six) university credits (ECTS) are recognised to students from any UniTrento department who include the course in their study plan and regularly pass the exam.
CERTIFICATES: an Open Digital Badge (ODB) will be issued to trainees those are not student at UniTrento, after passing the exam.
