Description

Realised as part of the project Food heritage, production chains and landscapes. Living Heritage of Alpine Areas by ARGE ALP, led by the Directorate General for Autonomy and Culture, Archives of Ethnography and Social History of the Lombardy Region, is a shared tribute on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary celebrations of the Argealp Working Community.

Alpine food heritage is a key element in safeguarding the cultural and natural diversity of the Alpine regions and in sustainable development based on respect for the values that unite communities. The products have been selected with a focus on local production chains, indigenous species and the heritage of traditional knowledge and practices handed down from generation to generation: here respect for tradition, creativity and innovation meet.
