Description
The aim of this action, carried out within the framework of the LIFE+TEN project, is to identify the animals, plants and environments facing the greatest risks and the consequent intervention priorities, considering that it is not possible to carry out protection actions for all the habitats and species of Community interest present in Trentino.
These assessments have been obtained by cross-referencing the threats hanging over them with their conservation value at a European level but also with reference to the local situation.
Protection measures in favour of the species and habitats identified in this way are in any case destined to have positive effects, with a sort of "umbrella effect", on all the ecosystems of Trentino.
Expected results
- to identify parameters enabling species and habitats of Community interest to be ordered at provincial level on the basis of their conservation value
- to identify the reference species and habitats for the creation of the Trentino Multipurpose Ecological Network and the implementation of the management measures it envisages.
