Description
On Friday 16 June at 5 p.m. at the Park headquarters in Cogolo di Peio, researcher Alessandro De Bertolini talks with Luca Pedrotti, the Park's scientific coordinator, about his 12-stage cycling journey in the Stelvio National Park.
Alessandro set off in September 2022 with his 4-year-old son Lorenzo and 2-year-old daughter Bianca, sharing some stretches with mum Silvia as well. An agile journey, faced in self-sufficiency, without vehicles in tow and often sleeping in tents and sleeping bags. A way to recount the nature/culture relationship through a series of historical and naturalistic insights into the area, to promote the values of the protected nature reserves and the significance of the long agro-sylvo-pastoral traditions of the Alpine world, emphasising the importance of built landscapes as a source of history.
The result is a film - the trip was documented by filming it independently - that is both an educational experience, a reportage and a cultural message. Excerpts from the film will be screened during the meeting.
The initiative, which is part of the Bikethehistory project, is promoted by de Bertolini himself with Montura Editing in collaboration with the Stelvio National Park and the Fondazione Museo storico del Trentino for the realisation of travel reportages with historical and naturalistic cultural purposes and international solidarity.
