In the Province of Trento there is an articulated and widespread system of social welfare interventions governed by Provincial Law no. 13 of 27 July 2007 - Social Policies in the Province of Trento, managed by the third sector or other public bodies.
Among these interventions, of particular relevance are residential services, aimed at welcoming minors or family units with minors, which respond to care, protection and education needs that cannot be adequately met within the family environment.
If the facilities present on the provincial territory are not available for reception due to a shortage of places, complexity of needs or other evaluations carried out by the territorial social service, it is necessary to arrange for placement in facilities outside the provincial territory.
Managers of residential facilities for minors or family nuclei, located outside the provincial territory, who are willing to receive minors or nuclei from outside the provincial territory, must enrol in a special list.

Enrolment on the list of providers of social welfare services of a residential nature for minors, carried out in facilities located outside the territory of the Province of Trento, is approved by a specific measure of the Director of the Social Policies Service and has a duration of five years from the date of the measure.
Applicants may apply for registration if they meet the requirements defined by the Resolution of the Provincial Council no. 912 of 28 May 2021 and contained in the public notice approved by the determination of the Director of the Social Policies Service no. 158 of 4 June 2021.
