The Telemedicine Operational Plan (Resolution No. 712 of 28 April 2023) has been approved; building on the work carried out to date at provincial level, it provides for:
- the implementation of telemedicineservices in the areas set out in the Guidelines for Telemedicine Services, approved by Decree-Law No. 4 of 27 January 2022, in particular for the management of patients with the main chronic conditions (diabetes, heart disease, respiratory conditions, cancer and neurological conditions);
- full integration of existingservices with the national telemedicine platform, to ensure inter-regional operability.
Furthermore, the first version of the Organisational Model for the telemedicine service of the Autonomous Province of Trento (Resolution No. 1167 of 30 June 2023) has been approved; its main elements are:
- consolidation of the organisational model adopted;
- full-scale adoption of telemedicine, particularly for the management of patients with chronic conditions;
- the development and integration of technological solutions for all forms of telemedicine (teleconsultation, tele-consultation, first- and second-level telemonitoring, tele-assistance);
- ensuring the use of tele-visits, tele-consultations and tele-assistance potentially for the entire population, and tele-monitoring primarily for patients with chronic conditions.
In June 2024, the draft agreement pursuant to Article 15 of Law No. 241 of 7 August 1990 was approved, to be concluded with the Lombardy Region, as the lead region for the management of procurement procedures for vertical telemedicine projects.
In April 2025, the draft agreement pursuant to Article 15 of Law No. 241 of 7 August 1990 was approved, to be concluded with the Puglia Region, as the lead region for the procurement and maintenance of workstations and related logistics.
The 2025 target has been achieved and progress is on track to meet the 2026 target.
