Participation path for the design of the new Fiemme hospital

The participatory process for the new hospital in Fiemme responds to the need to achieve shared choices in the area among all the actors involved in the decision on the location of the new facility.

More specifically, the pathway envisages

• Four thematic meetings with stakeholders
• A round table with the administrators of the Fiemme, Fassa and Cembra valleys
• Three assemblies with the communities of citizens interested in the project
• Listening to citizens, individually or in association with each other, by sending proposals and observations

The stakeholders identified for the four meetings to start the participatory process are representatives of the social and economic system of the valleys, representatives of the technical categories, such as architects, engineers, doctors, nurses, representatives of the environmentalworld and representatives of the voluntary sector.

The work of the round tables will identify criteria around the following specific issues to be resolved

• the relationship between the new hospital and other health facilities
• the issue of accessibility and thus accessibility and mobility
• the environmental and landscape impact of the structure
• the socio-economic impact on the territory of the new hospital

In order to guarantee independence in carrying out the phases of the process, a Participatory Process Manager has been identified and assigned the following functions

• planning and managing the assemblies
• guaranteeing access to information
• managing relations with all stakeholders.

The participatory process has the following general objectives:

• Guaranteeing maximum transparency of information and visibility to everyone's opinions
• Togive space in the choices made by the provincial administration and the Valley Community to the point of view and interests of citizens.

The participative process will address specific objectives related to

• Identifying a shared range of possible alternatives
• Identifying shared location criteria
• Limiting the consumption of undevelopedland

• 2024 November and December - Launch of thematic tables with stakeholders
• 2025 - January-February
  • Meeting with local administrators
  • three public meetings with citizens on the outcomes of the thematic tables.
