Interdisciplinary Technical Committee on Quarries

The committee meets approximately once a month.

The current composition of the committee is determined by aresolution of the Provincial Executive.
The committee has approved its operating proceduresin its own rulesof procedure.
At committee meetings, when expressing opinions on projects requiring decisions regarding landscape and environmental protection and hydrogeological restrictions, the presence of members specialising in the relevant subject area is required, and their positions are binding in the formulation of the final opinion.
The committee issues its opinion on projects within 90 days of receiving the request from the local authority.
Meetings convened to express opinions on the quarrying plan (updates or amendments) are valid only if members specialising in landscape and environmental protection and hydrogeological restrictions are present.
