Responsibilities and functions
The Coordination Commission authorises the realisation of the works relative to the ski-run system provided for by Provincial Law no. 7 of 21 April 1987 "Discipline of cableway lines in public service and ski runs" and the relative implementing regulations. The size thresholds of the works falling within the Commission's authorisation powers are established by the Provincial Council with resolution no. 67 of 24 January 2020. On the other hand, the works that can be authorised are identified in Articles 100 and 101 of the Provincial Urban-Building Regulations (Provincial Law no. 15 of 4 August 2015).
The downhill mountain-bike trails known as "Bike-parks", referred to in Art. 53 ter of Provincial Law 7/87, which use existing ski slopes as a priority, can be built and managed by the owners of the ski slopes or by other public or private subjects subject to authorisation by the Coordination Commission.
The Commission also authorises the execution of works pertaining to the realisation or modification of the alpine structures provided for in Article 2, paragraph 1, letters a) and b) of Provincial Law no. 8 of 15 March 1993 (Provincial Law on Mountain Huts and Alpine Trails), including the relative accessory works and infrastructures.
Lastly, the commission expresses opinions on all matters concerning cableway installations and ski slopes submitted to it by the Provincial Council or provincial structures.
