Responsibilities and functions
The Board of Directors
is appointed by the Provincial Council, for a term of five years, and is composed of
- the President of the Province or his delegate, who presides over it
- the manager of the second level provincial structure responsible for forests
- an external expert, appointed by the Provincial Council, in the field of management and economic valorisation of the forestry heritage and landscape;
- the President of the Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino Nature Park;
- one member indicated by the Council of Local Self-Government representing the municipalities territorially affected by the state forests.
The BoD performs the following tasks
- it adopts the annual and multi-year budget estimate as well as the relevant variations and adjustments, in accordance with the programme of activities
- adopts the final accounts as well as the detailed report on the activity carried out and the objectives achieved;
- adopts the programme of activities and other planning and programming instruments;
- establishes the guidelines for the Director's employment of labour under private law contracts;
- adopts any guidelines for the operational management of the agency;
- approves any general criteria for the granting of concessions;
- appoints the Technical Committee, on the proposal of the Director;
- adopts, without prejudice to compliance with the principles established by the provincial budget and accounting regulations, internal accounting regulations in order to adapt the accounting discipline to the agency's specific requirements.
