Responsibilities and functions
The Refuge House offers accommodation, protection and qualified help to women (and their children, if any) who have suffered or are exposed to all forms of violence, whether physical, psychological, sexual or economic, and are forced to leave their homes.
The services offered are:
- 24-hour telephone availability;
- Emergency telephone intervention;
- Telephone listening for information of first necessity and urgency;
- Residential reception;
- Support to services (police, health, social service, Prins) in the management and placement of high-risk emergency situations;
- emergency residential intervention;
- Information and support in assessing the consequences of violence against women and children (witnessing violence);
- Risk assessment;
- Guidance to legal counselling;
- Support for the children and daughters taken in;
- Psycho-social counselling on the topic of violence against women and the management of violent situations;
- Accompaniment on the territory;
- Work orientation;
- Accompaniment towards autonomy.
