Managing forestry activities safely - in light of the presence of large carnivores - and strengthening the culture of prevention in the workplace. These are the objectives of the new training course promoted by the Autonomous Province of Trento and aimed at forest keepers, fundamental figures in the protection of the territory. The course was created at the request of the operators themselves and is proposed as part of the 2023-2025 provincial plan for the promotion of health and safety at work. The initiative is supported by the provincial councillors for labour and forestry, Achille Spinelli and Roberto Failoni, and organised by TSM - Trentino School of Management, in collaboration with the Province's Wildlife Service (Large Carnivores sector) and the Consortium of Trentino Municipalities, as part of the 'Good Work' training project. Councillor Failoni recalls how forest keepers are 'the first interlocutors of local communities and their role is strategic in the management of our forests. Investing in their training means investing in everyone's safety'. Vice-President Spinelli, on the other hand, observes that 'training is the most effective tool to ensure that safety at work becomes an integral part of the everyday life of those who work in the area'. Interested forest wardens can register through their municipality.
