Research paths, laboratories, special projects and outings in the area: the appointment with the world of schools by the Educational Services of the Archaeological Heritage Office of the UMSt Soprintendenza per i beni e le attività culturali (Heritage and Cultural Activities Superintendency) is renewed, which has prepared a rich programme of activities to coincide with the start of the school year. There are more than 60 proposals collected in the publication "At school with archaeology", the result of 30 years of experience aimed at deepening the knowledge of Trentino's most ancient history and creating awareness, also among the younger generations, of the importance of cultural heritage, its preservation and enhancement. The proposals, aimed at pre-school, primary and secondary schools, cover a time span from prehistory to the early Middle Ages. The activities take place at the sites of Roman Trento - the Underground Archaeological Space of Sas, the Villa of Orpheus and the archaeological area of Palazzo Lodron -, at the Rhaetian Museum in Sanzeno, at the Archeo Natura Park and at the Palafitte Museum in Fiavé. Excursions are also planned to discover the main archaeological sites in the area, from Acqua Fredda to the Redebus Pass, Campi Neri in Cles, Montesei di Serso in Pergine Valsugana and Dos Ciastèl in Fai della Paganella. Reservations can be made from 10 September to 9 October by telephoning 0461 492150 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The programme is available on the portal www.cultura.trentino.it/Temi/Archeologia or can be requested from the Archaeological Heritage Office (tel. 0461 492161, didattica.archeologica@provincia.tn.it).
