Sauris, in Friuli, is one of the first villages in Italy to have successfully adopted the 'Albergo Diffuso' model, succeeding in combining the valorisation of the building heritage with new forms of hospitality and the wellbeing of the community. A model that has not only countered depopulation, but has also been able to build a tourist offer consistent with the local identity. The Sauris "case" was the subject of a study visit last weekend as part of the training course "The art of hospitality. Diffused hospitality in Valle dei Mòcheni", implemented by TSM - Trentino School of Management. The initiative is part of the project, financed by PNRR, "The strength of the minority: rebirth of a Germanic village south of the Alps", which aims to define a development and liveability strategy for the Valle dei Mòcheni, starting from the enhancement of local identity.
