Yesterday evening, bear F3, which was shot on 23 August near Borzago, in the municipality of Spiazzo, was released back into the wild. After a period of observation by the veterinarian at the Casteller wildlife area, where she was housed, avoiding direct contact with Trentino Forestry Corps personnel in order to preserve her natural wildness, the 17-and-a-half-year-old bear showed sufficient recovery to allow her to be released back into the wild. Prior to release, the animal was fitted with a radio collar to allow it to be monitored and follow the process of its reintroduction into the wild. As required by the procedures, the operation took place in the same territory where the recovery had taken place.
