The issue of the road system in the upper Vallagarina, which was also brought to the attention of the provincial administration last August, will be tackled starting from an analysis of travel data, with particular attention to the needs expressed by the area, also taking into account the recently adopted free commuter motorway transit between Rovereto south and Trento north and the forthcoming reactivation of the Calliano railway stop. The idea, on an issue that has already been the subject of discussion over the years, is to identify shared and sustainable solutions that are appropriate to today's needs. To this end, the offices of the bodies involved will be mandated to set up a technical working group.
This was discussed this afternoon at the Volano town hall. The meeting was attended by provincial councillor Achille Spinelli, the mayor of Volano Maria Alessandra Furlini - with deputy mayor Walter Ortombina and municipal councillor Barbara Sessa - the mayor of Rovereto Francesco Valduga, the Commissioner of the Vallagarina Community Stefano Bisoffi and the mayor of Calliano Lorenzo Conci.
