"The new law guarantees that the 'Progettone' can continue to be a key instrument of our autonomy," commented provincial councillor Achille Spinelli following today's approval in the provincial council of the reform bill. "An update of the provincial law regulating the matter," Spinelli added, "which after more than 20 years needed to be adapted as closely as possible to the nature of the 'Project', while redefining substantial and procedural aspects in order to harmonise the instrument with the European and national regulations that have come into force over time. With the new law, we will continue to accompany people of mature age to retirement and offer employment opportunities to those who find no alternative in the ordinary labour market, but the 'Progettone' is one of the active employment policy measures".
"The Progettone continues and is strengthened, therefore. Now,' Spinelli adds, 'everyone will contribute to soothing the spirits of the workers, who have been subjected to unfounded and destabilising fears and tensions'.
