The planning of the 'Monte Baldo Local Nature Park' has been reactivated: on the proposal of the councillor for the environment Mario Tonina, the Provincial Council approved the nine-year agreement with the municipalities of Ala, Avio, Brentonico, Mori and Nago-Torbole, the Vallagarina Community, the Alto Garda and Ledro Community, the Consortium of B.I.M. dell'Adige and Consorzio dei Comuni B.I.M. Sarca Mincio Garda, reactivating the instrument aimed at integrating nature conservation and territorial development. It also approved the three-year programme of interventions and the financial programme.

It was the third warmest autumn ever. The confirmation comes from Meteotrentino's seasonal analysis and refers in particular to the historical series of the stations in Rovereto and Lavarone. After an exceptionally hot summer, the temperatures recorded in the meteorological autumn (September, October and November) in Trentino were also much higher than the historical averages. Rainfall appears much lower than average, but it must be said that much less rainy autumns have been recorded in the past.

Guidelines for public-private partnership contracts approved

On the proposal of the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, the Provincial Council approved the Guidelines for public-private partnership (PPP) contracts.
The public-private partnership is based on the possibility for the public administration to pursue strategic and challenging results in various fields, overcoming the trade-off between social, environmental and financial returns, and to leverage the entrepreneurial, innovation and specialised skills of the economic operator.
The new Guidelines, on which the Council of Autonomies and the competent Commission of the Provincial Council have expressed their favourable opinion, have as their declared objective, on the one hand, to guide the market in the formulation of innovative PPP proposals that are complete with all the elements useful for an easy evaluation and, on the other hand, to uniformly define the relevant elements for their analysis by the Public Administration.

Civil Defence, the Australian consul visiting Trentino

The Consul of Australia in Milan, Naïla Mazzucco, visited Trentino to get to know our Civil Protection system and the functioning of the 112 Single Emergency Centre. An articulated system which - as the President of the Province, Maurizio Fugatti, recalled - can count on the synergy between different operational structures and whose strength lies in the commitment of hundreds of volunteers who guarantee the capillarity of the services and the timeliness of intervention in the event of an emergency. "These are elements that make our reality unique and demonstrate how important and beautiful it is for citizens to take care of the community in which they live," remarked the president, flanked by the general manager of the Civil Protection, Forestry and Fauna Department, Raffaele De Col, the directors of the Fire Prevention and Civil Protection Services, Ilenia Lazzeri, and Risk Prevention and Cue, Stefano Fait, and the director of the Single Emergency Central Office, Silvia Marchesi.

Weather, snow also coming to the valley floors

Snow will fall on Trentino from early afternoon today, Thursday 15 December. This is announced by Meteotrentino, which forecasts light rain from the south, initially snowing at altitudes above 800 - 1,000 metres and locally at lower altitudes in the valleys where cold air is stagnant. In some areas, where the ground is frozen, the weak rain may freeze to the ground.
