   Valsugana, wolf hit by a train

   A female wolf died after being hit by a train along the Valsugana Railway. The animal's carcass was found this afternoon on the tracks, at Roncogno di Pergine. Forestry personnel recovered the carcass.

   Fugatti: "Next Friday Malagò in Trentino to decide on the future of Baselga di Piné".

   This morning at the headquarters of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Foundation the new statute was signed and the new Board of Directors constituted. Present were the Minister for Sport and Youths Andrea Abodi, the President of CONI and of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Foundation Giovanni Malagò, the President of CIP Luca Pancalli; the Mayors of the host cities Milan and Cortina, Giuseppe Sala and Gianluca Lorenzi; the Presidents of Lombardy and Veneto, Attilio Fontana and Luca Zaia; the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento Maurizio Fugatti and the Vice-President of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano Daniel Alfreider. A renewed harmony was confirmed, aiming at an acceleration on the road to the Games in the sign of agreement on a fundamental project for sport and the territories and the whole country. In a few days Malagò will come to Trentino.
   "Next Friday, Coni president Giovanni Malagò will be in Trentino together with the president of the Ice Federation Andrea Gios and the number one of the Italian Archery Federation Mario Scarzella, to formulate a sports proposal to Trentino and Baselga di Piné. A proposal that will then be evaluated for future decisions'. This was stated by the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento Maurizio Fugatti at the end of the meeting held in Milan at the headquarters of the Milan Cortina 2026 Foundation.

   Weather and traffic situation update

   Weather: until late evening today, Tuesday 17 January, light to moderate snowfall is expected even at low altitudes. From tomorrow, Wednesday 18, to Sunday 22, typical winter temperatures are expected. The situation was assessed late in the morning by the Operations Room of the Autonomous Province of Trento.

   The History Museum Foundation at the 'Living Memory' Festival

   Living Memory, the "Festival of Memory", which until 27 January will see speakers, witnesses and artists come together in Trento to reflect on and not forget the horrors of the Second World War, is now in full swing. The Fondazione Museo storico del Trentino, as well as being a scientific partner of the initiative, is directly involved in a number of events: the meeting with Halina Bimebaum on Thursday 19 January, the dialogue "Women in 'light'" on Friday 20 January, the lectures on "How to arrive at the Shoah" and "Why the Shoah is unique" on Monday 23 and Thursday 26 January, the presentation of the podcast "The Black Spot" to be held on 25 January, the discussion on the three border territories (Ukraine, Rojava and South Tyrol) also on 25 January, and finally the concluding debate on Friday 27 January.

    Ledrensi Alps Network of Reserves

    Located in the south-western part of Trentino, the territory of the Ledrensi Alps constitutes an ecological corridor in the north-south direction for the passage of ungulates and large carnivores. It also presents sites of exceptional importance for migratory avifauna at an international level. The area shows a close relationship between territory and human activities, which has been perpetuated for centuries shaping the landscape.
    The Alpi Ledrensi Reserve Network has a good network of trails, infrastructure and visitor centres.

    The Network was established in 2013 and includes territories in the municipalities of Ledro, Riva del Garda, Tenno, Bondone and Storo.
    In 2015, it became part of the entire 'Alpi Ledrensi - Judicaria' Biosphere Reserve.
