   Arrears to employees. The Province's clarifications

   Following a trade union communication questioning the Provincial Council's commitment to abide by what had been agreed on the issue of the payment of arrears, it is the Executive itself that clarifies.
   "No slip-up and no absurd decision," says the Council, "Even the unions themselves are aware that there is a constitutional dispute on the issue and that seriousness requires the Province itself to respect the rules. While trusting that the legal process will soon find a positive solution, it is nevertheless correct to inform employees of the state of affairs. Apart from decisions concerning municipal employees, on which competence lies with the local authorities, the Council in any case confirms that the rights of civil servants are safeguarded.

   Language combination project, for six more years English and German in Trentino's kindergartens and nursery schools

   On Monday, 27 March, the German and English language approach experiences in pre-schools - provincial and equivalent - and in kindergartens will resume, thanks to a project financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
   The contract for the service, which is scheduled to last six years (extendable by one), was awarded through a European tender by the Provincial Procurement and Contracts Agency and was awarded to the Temporary Association of Companies with Cieffe Srl as agent and Isit Srl as principal, both based in Trento.
