"Through the Siticibo project, which started a few years ago in cooperation with the Province, we manage to collect and redistribute considerable amounts of food to those in need. It is therefore a project that works. The Banco Alimentare is an important organisation that daily collects surplus food, fresh and already cooked, from restaurants, canteens and large-scale distribution, to help people and families in need. With my presence today, I wanted to thank those who devote themselves to an initiative of great significance both from the point of view of solidarity and from that of respect for a commodity as precious as food, which must not be wasted': this was the comment of the councillor for health, social policies, disability and family Stefania Segnana, who this morning took part in the Banco Alimentare's activity of collecting surplus food at some school canteens in Trento. An activity that is also organised with the help of the 'Bring the food' app that facilitates contact between those who donate surplus food and those who collect it.
