Today the precipitation will generally remain absent, but tomorrow, Christmas Eve, weak rainfall will begin already in the morning from the south-eastern sectors. This is announced by Meteotrentino. During the central hours of the day and in the afternoon-evening, widespread, light to moderate rainfall is expected, with snow levels around 800-1,000 metres, locally even lower, especially in the less windy valleys and during the most intense phases. During the night and Christmas morning, the rainfall will tend to taper off, then disappear in the afternoon. By the middle hours of Christmas Day, an average of 10-20 centimetres or more of snow is expected above 1,000-1,200 metres, while at lower altitudes the accumulations will be more limited. It cannot be ruled out that, especially on the mountains affected by stau phenomena, accumulations of more than 30 centimetres may be recorded. From Boxing Day to Sunday, stable and sunny weather is expected, with falling minimum temperatures and probable frost in the lowland valleys. In the mountains, on the other hand, milder air will flow in, with the zero temperature gradually increasing to over 2,000 metres on Sunday.
