   Launch of the 'IRRITRE: territorial information system for precision irrigation in Trentino' project

   Research and innovation in agriculture, at the service of sustainability. With a measure proposed by the Councillor for Agriculture Giulia Zanotelli, the Provincial Council today approved the project 'IRRITRE: territorial information system for precision irrigation in Trentino'. The project involves the Bruno Kessler Foundation (FBK), the Edmund Mach Foundation (FEM) and Trentino Digitale S.p.A.. It aims, starting from three sample areas identified in the provincial territory, to develop a territorial information system designed to promote and foster efficient irrigation management through precision irrigation practices. It is based on a set of Agriculture 4.0 technologies that are combined through the use of artificial intelligence in order to provide monitoring and control functions, promoting the development of predictive models and planning tools on a provincial scale for optimising the use of the irrigation resource and its impact on crops. It is expected to be completed by 31/12/2025.

   Landscape Observatory Forum, integrated composition

   The presidents of the Provincial College of Agricultural Technicians and Graduate Agricultural Technicians, the College of Surveyors and Graduate Surveyors, and the College of Industrial Technicians (all of which are Colleges in the Province of Trento) will be part of the Landscape Observatory Forum.
   This was decided by the Provincial Council with a measure proposed by Vice-President and Councillor for Urban Planning, the Environment and Cooperation Mario Tonina. "The landscape," Tonina emphasises, "is a transversal theme to many others and an expression of tradition but also of the culture and social and economic transformations of a given territory. The comparison and debate on this topic is all the richer and more useful the more technical and professional contributions are made. This is why we have decided to further integrate the composition of the Landscape Observatory Forum'.
