A new piece is destined to be added to the Trentino bicycle network. Today, Tuesday 14 November 2023, in Fontanazzo di Mazzin, in the presence of the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, the works for the extension and completion of the Fiemme and Fassa cycle path from Mazzin to Penia, for a length of about 6.5 km, were handed over. Therefore, the construction of a section of cycle path in Val di Fassa (work C-63) can begin, which is crucial for the completion of the Fiemme and Fassa Valleys cycle path, which currently runs from Molina di Fiemme to Fontanazzo in the municipality of Mazzin, for a length of 41.750 km. With this further intervention, the area's bicycle tourism offer will be increased to 48.134 km. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of summer 2024.
President Fugatti thanked the provincial offices for having reached the handover of the works and wished good work to the company that will carry them out. "Once the work on the Fiemme and Fassa cycle route has been completed," added Fugatti, "it is interesting to set ourselves the ambitious goal, both from a financial and a planning point of view, of building the cycle route between the Fiemme Valley and the Piné Plateau in the medium term.
