A month before the closing ceremony of the extraordinary adventure of Milan - Cortina 2026 Coni Trento together with the Autonomous Province of Trento met and awarded the Trentino Olympic and Paralympic athletes who took part in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the event called 'Champions of Sport and School....insieme', at the Santa Chiara Auditorium in Trento.
It was a record-breaking edition in terms of participation and medals obtained for the Italian representative, but also for the Trentino one with no less than 45 athletes competing in the Five Circles Games and the Agitos, with around 30 of them present at the ceremony organised by Paola Mora of Coni Trento, which was also attended by the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento Maurizio Fugatti, the Provincial Councillor for Education Francesca Gerosa, the Government Commissioner for the Province of Trento Isabella Fusiello, as well as sports and military authorities. The opening was followed by a video message of greeting from the president of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Foundation Giovanni Malagò.
