With regard to the accident at work that occurred during the night at the San Giovanni-Cretaccio link construction site, the Autonomous Province of Trento announces that it has carried out the necessary investigations into the incident. The technicians are supporting the police in collecting elements for the reconstruction of the dynamics of the events, which caused the injury of three workers. The Health Authority's Operational Unit for Prevention and Safety in the Workplace (Uopsal) is also on the scene. Upon receiving news of the event, the President of the Province Maurizio Fugatti and the Provincial Councillor for Labour Achille Spinelli took an interest in the health conditions of the people involved.
The provincial administration confirms its utmost attention to the issue of safety in the workplace.
Contrary to some media reports, the construction site is not under sequestration. Instead, the lifting equipment that was not properly coupled was seized by the competent authorities.
