Yesterday, the Summer Festival organised at the Parco Europa in Calliano by the Villa Maria and Amalia Guardini social cooperatives was attended by many: members, volunteers, employees and users of the two cooperatives, but also many citizens. The event was enriched this year by the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Villa Maria cooperative and the 20th anniversary of the Macramè Service. In attendance was the provincial councillor for housing policies, heritage, state property and the promotion of self-reliance Simone Marchiori, who in his greeting emphasised the spirit of social cooperation that leaves no-one behind.
For the two cooperatives, President Guido Ghersini spoke, who also recalled how Villa Maria and Guardini had recently started the path towards a merger. The mayor of Calliano Lorenzo Conci then took the floor, emphasising how Villa Maria and Macramè represent excellence for the local community; the first citizens Giulia Robol of Rovereto - Villa Maria manages nine residential communities in the city and two flats for the accompanied living project - and Alessandra Furlini of Volano, where the day centre of Villa Maria and Macramè are located; the vice-president of the Vallagarina Community Alberto Scerbo and the head of the social welfare service of the Community Carla Comper.
