"I confirm that in our Province the opening dates for enrolment in vocational education and training courses for the 2025/26 school year remain those established by the Provincial Council's resolution of 23 December last, scheduled from 8 a.m. on 10 January to 8 p.m. on 31 January.
In reading the Ministry's assessment, which I understand in its concern for families, I wanted to initiate a careful and specific internal analysis with the competent structures, as a result of which it was deemed appropriate to maintain what had already been established by the Council, also in consideration of the many orientation activities carried out in our schools and the many initiatives proposed to families, among which I also recall the 'TrentinOrienta' fair last October, and which provided students and their families with adequate information to make their choices. In addition, we have taken into account that, as enrolment closes at the end of the month, they will still have a few more weeks to clear their last reservations and finalise their reflections.
Lastly, we have already defined the deadlines for the next measures in order to have the best possible impact on the organisational level, and I want to keep to the set timetable: in fact, together with the enrolments, we also wanted to approve the new criteria for class formation, usually validated in March, to simplify the work of the school secretariats, and it is my intention to bring the resolution on staffing levels to the Council earlier than in the past". These are the words of Vice-President and Provincial Councillor for Education Francesca Gerosa on the timing of school enrolments, which in Trentino remain confirmed in the opening window already announced.
