Work officially began yesterday to make safe the dangerous bend in Revò - in the municipality of Novella - at the intersection between the SS42 of Tonale and Mendola and the SP28 of Tregiovo. The work is expected to be completed by February 2026, but the goal is to finish the road widening by next autumn's apple harvest. The project is designed to solve existing critical issues: the current road section of the road does not allow the safe passage of two vehicles in opposite directions. Moreover, the junction with Via Canestrini, a municipal road, represents a further point of conflict that will be resolved by moving the latter and connecting it with the SP28 road through the construction of a hundred metres of new road, significantly increasing traffic safety, as explained by the deputy director of the road structures office, Alessandro Pinamonti, representing the infrastructure department. The designer of the work is Paolo De Iorio, while the manager of the Road and Railway Works Department, Carlo Benigni, is in charge of the works.
