"The extension of the use of bear spray to these categories represents a reasonable choice and a concrete step forward in the protection of those who work daily on the territory to guarantee the safety of our communities and mountain territories, ensuring a balanced coexistence between man and nature. The safety of people and the proper management of wildlife must go hand in hand: this is the only way to experience the mountains with serenity."
With these words, the provincial councillor with responsibility for large carnivores, Roberto Failoni, comments on the approval in the budget committee of the amendment to the 'mountain ddl', presented by the Honourable Vanessa Cattoi, which extends the use of anti-bite sprays to the territorial operational structures of civil protection in the autonomous provinces of Trento and Bolzano and the autonomous region of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
