    The most elevated part (from the edge of the forest to the alpine belt) of the Lagorai chain, between Passo Manghen and Cima Cece, consisting of a succession of ridges and peaks, with vast rocky environments and high-altitude grasslands. The substratum is completely porphyritic.
    An almost intact environment with a high degree of naturalness. Remarkable floristic rarities are present.

    Eastern bend of the Levico Lake (Valsugana), with water lily and reed vegetation. On the banks of the lake there are a few patches of transitional peat bog vegetation and a marshy wood of black alder.

    Western bend of the Caldonazzo Lake (Valsugana), with a vast reed bed; in the water mirror there are a few groups of yellow water lilies. The shore vegetation consists mainly of wet meadows and black alder groves.

    The perilacual vegetation of Lake Levico only survives in patches along some parts of its shoreline. The largest strip is the one that constitutes this provincial nature reserve and is located along the south-eastern shore where the lake reaches its maximum width.

    The Reserve is also a Special Area of Conservation and is one of the protected areas that make up the Brenta River Reserve Network.

    The basin - occupied by the pastures of Malga Revolto - is surrounded by dolomitic pinnacles lapped at the bottom by the beech forest, which slopes down into the mugo forest. Rocky, scree, culminal and nival environments are well represented.

    The shores of Lake Caldonazzo, the largest natural body of water entirely in Trentino, have been profoundly modified over time. The typical perilacunal vegetation survives only along some stretches of the shoreline: the two largest strips, located on the northern shore to the east and west of the village of San Cristoforo, are protected.

    The Reserve is also a Special Area of Conservation and is one of the protected areas that make up the Brenta River Reserve Network.
