Workshop for the acquisition of work pre-requisites for prisoners

The purpose of the service is to carry out training/work activities aimed at learning work pre-requisites, acquiring practical/manual skills, strengthening/developing skills and behaviours suitable for taking on tasks and duties in a working environment (punctuality, ability to work in a team, respect for rules, recognition of roles, etc.), with a view to insertion in protected work contexts or on the labour market in accordance with the description in Sheet 7.1 of the Catalogue of Social and Welfare Services approved by the Provincial Council Resolution no. 173.), with the prospect of insertion in sheltered employment contexts or in the labour market in compliance with what is described in Sheet 7.1 of the Catalogue of Social and Welfare Services approved by Resolution no. 173/2020 of the Provincial Council and subsequently amended by Resolution no. 604/2023. Specifically, the service provides support to the person by focusing on three main aspects: construction of the personal job placement project; activation of a process of reflection and awareness with respect to the resilience, motivation and resources deployed during the work experience; enhancement of social, emotional and relational skills and abilities.

The service was entrusted to the Kaliedoscopio social cooperative for the period 1 January 2002 - 31 December 2024.

The service is aimed at detainees at the Spini di Gardolo prison and takes place at the premises made available by the prison itself. The inmates involved in the service, through internships lasting about two months for 15 hours a week, carry out simple contract work in ways that can be customised according to their characteristics.

The service is accessed by inmates identified by the prison.
