Transport pass for pensioners

Local public transport season tickets may be either urban (Trento, Rovereto and neighbouring municipalities, Alto Garda, Pergine Valsugana) or provincial free circulation and are differentiated according to the pensioner's family income.

Urban season tickets may be monthly or annual, while free circulation season tickets may be monthly or six-monthly.

Public transport timetables in Trentino ->

People over the age of sixty (who do not work) may purchase public transport season tickets on the basis of their income according to the rates set out in the attached price list.

People over the age of seventy (not working) residing in the Province of Trento can benefit from free travel, regardless of income.

In order to obtain a season ticket or free circulation, the pensioner must have a special smart card.

The smart card must be requested by presenting the appropriate form attached to this page at a Trentino Trasporti SpA or Trenitalia SpA ticket office (enclosing a passport photo).

The season ticket or free circulation is loaded onto the smart card at Trentino trasporti SpA or Trenitalia SpA ticket offices; free circulation for those over 70 is valid for 5 years.

The season ticket can be renewed not only at the ticket offices but also at the ATM counters of the Casse Rurali Trentine.
