The call for applications supports fixed investments in tangible or intangible assets commenced after the date of submission of the application or, in any event, no earlier than 1 September 2024.

The notice has been drawn up under Provincial Law No. 6/2023 “Measures to support the Trentino economy” and, insofar as not provided for in the notice, the general provisions common to all measures in forceas of 8 November 2024 shall apply.

What is funded

The following types of investment are eligible for funding:

  • the establishment of anew operational unit;
  • the refurbishment of an existing operational unit;
  • the extension of an existing operational unit, with possible refurbishment of that same operational unit;
  • the purchase of specific plant, machinery, equipment and other assets relating to an existing operational unit;

Applications are assessed through an evaluation procedure.

Incentives and expenditure limits

The incentive amounts to 30 per cent of eligible expenditure.

Minimum and maximum expenditure limits

The minimum eligible expenditure is:

  • 50,000 euros, for applications submitted by entities operating in the accommodation sector;
  • €25,000, for applications submitted by entities operating in the retail and services sector.

The maximum eligible expenditure is 1 million euros.

Restrictions

Eligible investments must:

  • be carried out within an operational unit located within the Province of Trento;
  • commence after the date on which the application for the incentiveis submitted , or in any event not before 1 September 2024;
  • be completed by 31 December 2027 (the deadline of 6 February 2026 was extended by Resolution No. 965 of 4 July 2025).

Who it's for

Small and medium-sized enterprises that meet the requirements set out in the Call for Applications or in the general provisions applicable to all schemes and, with regard to the sector:  

A) for the hospitality sector, the following are eligible:

  • hotels;
  • non-hotel accommodation establishments, limited to guesthouses, rural accommodation, bed and breakfasts, holiday homes and holiday flats, provided they are run as commercial enterprises;
  • hikingrefuges
  • outdoor accommodation facilities.

The activity carried out must, in any case, fall within one of the Ateco codes set out in Annex 1 of the general provisions applicable to all measures. Please refer to Annex 1 of these general provisions for the list of permitted Ateco codes.

B) For the trade and services sector, businessesoperating under one of the Ateco codes set out in the Notice are eligible. Please refer toArticle 6of the Notice for the list of eligible Ateco codes.

The application may be submitted by:

  • The owner or legal representative of the business
  • An authorised representative

What to do

Applications may be submitted –online only via the digital platform– from 12.00 on 18 March 2025 until 12.00 on 30 May 2025.

The deadline expired at 12.00 on 30 May 2025. It is no longer possible to submit an application.

Each application must relate to a single type of investment and a single operational unit.

  • it is not permittedto submit multiple applications relating to the same planning permission (or other documentation required under town planning legislation) and any amendments thereto;
  • it is not permitted to submitthe same initiatives in other applications for incentives under the scheme referred to in Article 17(2)(a) of Provincial Law No. 6/2023;
  • it is not permittedto submit an application for an incentive for an operational unit for which an application for funding has already been submitted under the “Second ‘Quality in Trentino’ Call for Proposals – Trade and Services Sector” and the “Second ‘Quality in Trentino’ Call for Proposals – Hospitality Sector’ until the date of submission of the final report for the latter application. Applications are excluded where the beneficiary demonstrates, when reporting expenditure, that the initiatives relate to different areas/volumes and expenditure, even if they pertain to the same operational unit.
