Support for the floriculture sector – 2025 call for applications

This call for applications, organised by the Autonomous Province of Trento, offers financial support for investments in the floriculture sector, in line with European directives on state aid.

The aim is to improve the overall performance and sustainability of agricultural holdings, reduce production costs, improve environmental standards and energy efficiency, and contribute to adaptation to climate change.

Eligible projects include the construction or modernisation of facilities and equipment, and the purchase of management software and hardware specific to the floriculture sector.

The total budget for 2025 is €800,000.00.

The maximum aid intensity varies: 40% for the improvement of immovable property and the construction of fixed installations, and 30% for the purchase of new machinery or mobile equipment. If you are a young beneficiary of a setting-up grant (or have submitted an application and the assessment is ongoing), you can receive a 10% bonus.

The minimum eligible expenditure per application is €10,000.00 (excluding VAT), whilst the maximum limit is €150,000.00 (excluding VAT).

Expenditure such as VAT, interest payable, routine maintenance, the purchase of land and investments in leasing are not eligible.

The call for applications is aimed at micro, small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises operating in the floriculture sector in Trentino.

Both sole traders and companies set up to run such businesses are eligible.

It is essential that floriculture accounts for at least 70% of the business’s activities.

Applicants must hold a valid electronic farm register, possess the appropriate title deeds for the plots of land covered by the measures, and have a certified email address (PEC) and an agricultural VAT number. Enterprises in financial difficulty or those with outstanding recovery orders are not eligible.

To take part, you must submit your application online via the provincial portal SRTrento.

You must have a registered account and digitally sign the application.

The application must contain detailed information on the project initiative, including a description of the works, the aims and the improvements to be made, and how you intend to achieve the objectives of the call for proposals.

You will also need to attach the necessary documentation, such as approved plans, cost estimates and, for purchases, at least three competitive quotations from different suppliers.

The application must be submitted online via the provincial agricultural information system SRTrento at https://srt.infotn.it, which can also be accessed via the portal https://a4g.provincia.tn.it/, from Monday 28 July to Monday 15 September 2025, in accordance with the procedures set out in the APPAG Paying Agency’s Manual of Control and Sanction Procedures.

Access to the restricted area of SRTrento is permitted only to registered users; therefore, each user must first register in accordance with the procedures set out in the guidance on the SRTrento website’s home page. Applications submitted must be signed using a digital signature. For the 2025 financial year, applications may be submitted from 28 July to 15 September 2025.

The merit-based ranking list will be approved within 30 days of the deadline for submitting applications. Decisions on whether to award or refuse the grant will be made within 70 days of the ranking list’s approval.

Funded projects must be reported on within 24 months of the date the grant is awarded, and only one reasoned request for an extension is permitted, for a maximum of a further 24 months.
