Description
The grant is a specific measure to support the payment of rents on the open market in housing located in disadvantaged peripheral areas, in order to encourage the repopulation of these territories.
It is granted by the Comunità di valle (valley communities) and the Territorio Val d'Adige (Trento municipality) to households that enter into a rental contract for housing in those areas and transfer their registered residence there after 13 September 2025.
The rent subsidy is set at EUR 3,000 per year and is granted for a period of three years.
The following surcharges are also provided
- €250 if all the members of the household receiving the accommodation are young people (under 40) or if there is a young couple in the household receiving the accommodation (under 40)
- € 500 if the household receiving the accommodation is a large family (1 or 2 parents with at least 3 dependent children living together)
- 500 if the household receiving accommodation includes at least one person with a certified degree of disability equal to or greater than 75%.
- € 500 if the household receiving the accommodation has an ICEF not exceeding 0.41
The rental subsidy is granted until the available resources are exhausted.

To whom it is addressed
In order to obtain the facility, the following requirements must be met on the date of opening of the application deadline
- the applicant must be an Italian citizen or a citizen of another EU Member State or a citizen of a non-EU country provided they hold an EU long-term residence permit or a residence permit for at least two years if they are employed or self-employed, or if they are registered with the employment centres;
- the household to which the accommodation is assigned and each member of it must not have ownership, usufruct or dwelling rights, attributable in their entirety respectively to the household or to the individual member, on another accommodation, with the exception of that assigned to the other spouse or de facto cohabitee following a court order
and the following conditions
- the applicant is the holder or joint holder of a rental contract on the open market stipulated on or after 13 September 2025 (the day after the date of approval of this notice), or with effect from the same date, for accommodation located in one of the municipalities listed in Annex A of the notice;
- the rental contract is stipulated pursuant to Article 2 of Law no. 431 of 9 December 1998. Lease agreements entered into by the applicant with a spouse who is not legally separated, with a de facto cohabiting partner, with relatives within the second degree or with first-degree relatives-in-law, as well as agreements relating to public housing rented at sustainable, moderate or agreed rents or to housing rented at subsidised rents within the framework of specific collaborative living projects are excluded. The lease must have a total duration of at least three years, including any automatic renewals provided for therein;
- the applicant comes from a municipality other than the one where the supported housing is located. The applicant's provenance from the same municipality where the supported accommodation is located is allowed only if the household receiving the accommodation is newly established;
- the applicant and any additional members of the household receiving the accommodation have transferred their registered residence to the accommodation covered by the rental agreement.
If, on the date the application is submitted, the condition relating to the transfer of residence is not met, it must take place by 31 December 2026.

The application for a grant must be submitted to the local authority on whose territory the accommodation is located from 22 September 2025 to 31 August 2026
