Description
The emergency reception service is a service provided in facilities dedicated to day and night-time accommodation on a temporary basis. It can accommodate children from vulnerable families who are unable to meet the child’s developmental needs and who require urgent placement in a setting outside the family.
The service is designed to safeguard and protect the child, manage the emergency phase and ensure that their basic needs are met.
Who is it for?
Children aged, as a rule, between 11 and 17, who are at risk or have been neglected, or who are otherwise in an emergency situation for various reasons.
Accessing the service
Admission may take place following court orders, referral by the police, referral by a public authority (Article 403 of the Civil Code), or referral by social services or specialist health services.
