Registration on the provincial register of non-profit organisations

The Provincial Register is a public database designed to recognise, promote and support non-profit organisations based in Trentino, by publicising their activities and the people they serve. Registration is a prerequisite for accessing the financial incentives and benefits provided by the Autonomous Province of Trento and local authorities (Provincial Law No. 9/2025).
The Register promotes the value of the voluntary sector and facilitates connections between citizens, public administrations and businesses.

The registration service for the Register is aimed at third sector organisations (ETS) and other not-for-profit organisations operating on a permanent basis in Trentino.
The Register is divided into two sections:

• Section A: organisations already registered with the Single National Register of the Third Sector (RUNTS). If the organisation has its registered office in Trentino, registration is automatic (only an update of details is required); if it has a secondary office in Trentino, an application must be submitted to the provincial register.
• Section B: associations, foundations and committees not registered with the RUNTS, with their registered office in Trentino. 
  This section is in turn divided into:
  • organisations where voluntary work forms the majority of activities
  • other non-profit organisations.

You can submit your registration application, update your details or request to be removed from the register online via the“Stanza del cittadino” platform, by logging in with your digital identity (SPID, CIE or CNS).

All official communications and checks are carried out digitally via Certified Email (PEC).

The application may be submitted:

• by the legal representative of the organisation,
• by a special attorney (attaching the power of attorney)
• by the legal representative of a second-level body to which the organisation is affiliated (by way of a mandate).

If your organisation has its registered office in Trentino and is already registered with the RUNTS (Section A), you are automatically registered but must complete the missing details online within one year of receiving notification of registration.

• a declaration confirming that the privacy policy has been read (included in the online form);
• declarations in lieu of certifications and/or affidavits pursuant to Presidential Decree 445/2000, relating to compliance with the requirements and the provision of the information set out in these regulations (included in the online form);
• the articles of association, unless these have already been filed with another public administration. In such cases, the details of the filing must be provided; for foundations, these must be evidenced by a public deed or a will, in accordance with the provisions of the Civil Code

Documents must be uploaded in static PDF format (such as PDF/A) or JPEG/JPG, without using compressed files (.zip), and may be digitally signed.
