Description
As is well known, GP has introduced the option to purchase a new public transport season ticket for workers and pensioners (categories A, B and D), valid from 1 June 2026 to 31 August 2026, with the option to request a refund in accordance with the timescales and procedures set out below.
The right to a refund is reserved for specific categories of users (WORKERS AND OTHERS and PENSIONERS CATEGORIES A, B, D) to compensate for the period of overlap with the summer promotion. Specifically, holders of annual season tickets, both urban and suburban, and holders of six-month suburban season tickets may apply.
The key requirement for eligibility is that the validity period of your season ticket must overlap with that of the 2026 Summer Public Transport Promotion for a total period of more than 30 days. It is not necessary to purchase the new Quarterly Unlimited Travel Pass at the rate of €20.00 to obtain the refund

Trentino Trasporti
The refund procedure for season tickets issued by Trentino Trasporti is exclusively digital. You must visit the Trentino Trasporti website (www.trentinotrasporti.it) , go to the ‘Customer Service’ section and complete the online form entitled ‘Fuel Price Surcharge Refund Request’, available from Monday 15 June 2026 until Monday 31 August 2026.
Trenitalia
The refund procedure for season tickets issued by Trenitalia remains limited to in-person channels. In this case, applicants must submit the refund form in paper format, from Monday 15 June 2026 until Monday 31 August 2026, directly at the railway ticket offices located at Trento or Rovereto stations. The form is available at the following link: https://www.trenitalia.com/content/dam/trenitalia/allegati/regionale/Regionale_Modulo_Indennizzi_e_Rimborsi_ITA.pdf. You must write the reason for your request on the form by hand as follows: “Refund of season ticket linked to the 2026 summer local public transport fare”.
