Provincial list of medicinal plant operators in Trentino - registration

This is the provincial list containing the names of operators authorised to cultivate, harvest and carry out the first processing of officinal plants for the production of herbal food products and their blending in Trentino who have complied with the required procedure.

The operator registered in this list is allowed to produce, including spontaneous harvesting, officinal plants which have not been processed or have undergone first processing operations, including drying, washing, defoliation, sorting, cutting and distillation, and herbal food products. In addition, the operator may market the products obtained, using the ' TRENTINERBE' trademark.

The registered operator is obliged to comply with the product specification.

To aspiring operators who are interested in the cultivation, first processing and spontaneous harvesting of medicinal plants, their marketing and who have farm structures located in the province.

Interested parties must meet the following requirements

- be over 18 years of age

- be resident in the Province of Trento

- have farm structures located in the province;

- have passed the prescribed aptitude examination or possess one of the qualifications envisaged by Article 4, paragraph 4 of Provincial Decree 41-148/Leg. of 24 September 2008 or equivalent.

Below are the operative provisions for holding the aptitude examination (attached to Determination no. 8088 of 28 July 2022.
